Perry Central Takes Loss in Kentucky Elite Shootout; Cordia's Team Still Incomplete

Perry Central lost a close one to 22 Feet Academy last night 80-75 at the Kentucky Elite Shootout in Hazard.

Sophomore Braxton Beverly led the Commodores with 30 points on 10-12 shooting and dished out 6 assists.

Justin Johnson finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds while doing most of his damage in the second half.

22 Feet Academy used their athleticism to get to the rim, and as you can tell by the following highlights, did a very good job of throwing it down.

Cordia played Thomas Nelson, and with the score being reset after each quarter, it was hard to figure what the final tally was. What I can say is the Lions didn't have any starters playing as most of their team was still in street clothes because of KHSAA transfer rules. In other words, they are waiting to be declared eligible.
