PRP Upsets Bullitt East; 6th Region Final Set

PRP took the air out of Bullitt East's run to Rupp Arena as they advanced to the 6th region final with a 40-33 win.

Taywan Taylor led the Panthers with 14 points and LaMontray Harris had 10 in the upset victory.

Bullitt East's Derek Willis finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

PRP will play Butler in the 6th region championship game, who beat Fairdale 70-64 earlier in the evening.

The fallout of this loss could be substantial for Rusty Troutman and Derek Willis' Mr. Basketball hopes as the voting for the award isn't until after the Sweet 16.

One thing is for sure, there is one less team that would definitely be a favorite to win the championship if they made it to Rupp Arena.

Fleming County Outguns Ashland in Double Overtime for Trip to 16th Region Championship Game

Fleming County needed double overtime to beat the Ashland Tomcats 81-72 in the 16th region semifinals at Morehead State University.

There was a lot of drama, especially at the end of the first overtime, as Ashland's Logan Salow knocks down a 3 at the buzzer to put the game into double overtime.

Fleming went on to outscore Ashland 18-9 in the overtime to advance to play the winner of Rowan County and Russell.
