Ware Leads Blue Devils Over Tates Creek

Fifth-ranked Henry Clay got out to an early lead and never looked back in a 72-46 victory over Tates Creek in the Al Prewitt Classic on Saturday. Teddy Ware led the Blue Devils with a game high 18 points and fueled Henry Clay with his 5-for-9 three-point shooting.

Christen Cunningham added 13 points and 6 assists. Jordan Green contributed 10 points and 3 rebounds.

The Commodores were led by Vincent Mattox, the son of former University of Kentucky Coach Bernadette Mattox. He finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Henry Clay returns to action on Friday when they welcome Lafayette at 8:00 p.m. Tates Creek takes on Madison Central at home on Tuesday.
