Omar Prewitt's Big Night Leads Montgomery County Past Bourbon



The Montgomery County Indians had a rough time with Bourbon County early, but all-state candidate Omar Prewitt but any chances of an upset to rest as the Indians cruised to a 89-64 win.

Bourbon County came into the game with a record of 2-10, but played like they were a top 25 team in the first half, as they were only down 34-31 at the half.

After halftime is when Omar Prewitt decided to put the game away, scoring 23 points in the second half and finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Bourbon County was led by Charles Johnson's 20 points. Devin Bellvlle had 14.

The most telling stat of the game was turnovers as Bourbon County had 28 miscues and the Indians scored 35 points as a result.

Montgomery County improved to 15-3 on the year and Bourbon County dropped to 2-11.
